A Little History of the Phyllis T. Mugford Building
The building that houses the Mugford Center for Periodontics and Dental Implants and the Mugford Education Center, based in Crofton, MD, is dedicated to Dr. Mugford’s beloved mother who died suddenly in 2001. Phyllis Mugford was an altruistic, non-judgmental, patient, kind and fun-loving woman who found beauty in every person she met and joy in helping others. She had a gift for helping people to recognize and reach their full potential.
Phyllis’ name appears in white lettering just below the clock on the face of the building. In honoring his mother in this way, Dr. Mugford expresses his gratitude for her and his dedication to emulating the way in which she led her life.
