This is the sole reason why we advocate for the brushing and flossing of teeth at least twice a day.When bacteria enter the bloodstream, they are practically unstoppable owing to their numbers. They then cause inflammation, which is the primary cause of stroke and other terminal illnesses. Experts confirm that the strain of bacteria found in periodontal diseases, Streptococcus Sanguis, is likely to affect the heart and cause stroke. Unfortunately, the more bacteria you have in your system, the harder the heart will need to work. How Do You Protect Yourself?If you already have a gum infection, you will need to see a dentist as soon as possible. Antibiotics without the dentist's direction will not help much. Overall better dental hygiene will change the game for you. We always advise that you brush your teeth at least twice a day, paying particular attention to the gum.Floss before you brush your teeth to dislodge any food particles.
